About This Event
Europe's premier GT3 championship visits the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for a three-day round, 16–18 October.
GT World Challenge Europe is the top tier of GT3 racing in Europe — full grids of Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins and McLarens, driven by a mix of factory professionals and well-funded amateurs.
Portimão suits these cars well. The circuit's blind crests and steep elevation changes reward drivers who commit, and the long main straight makes for real overtaking rather than processions.
It is a good-value weekend compared to the headline motorsport events here, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Mid-October weather in the western Algarve is usually in the mid-twenties — comfortable for a full day trackside without the August heat.
