A weekend dedicated to fisherman's tapas on Quarteira's seafront — grilled sardines, octopus, razor clams, açorda and local wines, with live music and a working-port atmosphere.
Petiscos do Pescador is Loulé council's weekend celebration of fisherman's cuisine, staged on the Quarteira waterfront with restaurants and local cooperatives operating individual stalls.
Expect petiscos in the classic Algarve register: grilled sardines, polvo à lagareiro, ameijoas à bulhão pato, razor clams, açorda de marisco, plus regional wines and cold beer. Prices are deliberately accessible — this is a fisherman's festival, not a fine-dining one.
Live music each evening, mostly Portuguese popular standards. Family-friendly throughout the afternoon; relaxed and slow-paced by Algarve-festival standards. Easy to combine with a Quarteira beach afternoon.
