This ninety-minute kayak trip along the coast near Benagil is built around small groups and local knowledge, and it shows. The kayaks are stable doubles, and no previous experience is needed. The sea here is usually calm, especially in the morning, though there is a low swell that rocks you gently as you sit in the mouth of a cave. If you are prone to seasickness, take a tablet beforehand; if you are nervous about capsizing, the guide will put you at ease within the first ten minutes.

The pace is unhurried. You stop frequently, both to rest and to take in the surroundings, and the guide adjusts the route depending on conditions and how the group is managing. There is no sense of being rushed to the next waypoint, which is rare on a ninety-minute outing.

Free cancellation is included, and the price reflects the small-group model. If your party is larger than five, the operator asks you to contact them directly so they can arrange a bespoke trip.
