Benagil itself is the centrepiece. The cave's dome has a circular opening at the top that lets in a column of sunlight, illuminating the interior and the small beach inside. The boat pauses here long enough for photographs, though you stay aboard rather than disembarking. The cave can get busy, especially mid-morning and early afternoon, but the boats are managed to avoid too much crowding.

This is a good option for families, older visitors, or anyone who wants the cave experience without the physical demands of kayaking. The sea can be choppy, particularly in spring and autumn, so if you are prone to motion sickness it is worth taking precautions. The tour lasts around an hour, which feels about right—it is long enough to take in the scenery without becoming repetitive.

Armação de Pêra is easily reached by car, with parking available near the beach, though it fills up quickly in July and August. Buses run regularly from Albufeira and Portimão. The tour is highly rated, and for good reason: it delivers exactly what it promises, in a professional and unpretentious way. Bring sun protection, a hat, and a camera with a decent zoom. The light is best in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is lower and the colours of the cliffs are at their richest.
