Dolphin-watching trips out of Portimão are common enough that choosing between operators often comes down to small differences in approach. If you have children on board, the explanations are pitched accessibly enough that older kids will follow along; younger ones will be more interested in the dolphins themselves, which is fine.

Not everyone gets in, but if you are inclined to swim in open water this is a good opportunity. The stop is brief — fifteen minutes or so — and then the boat continues the search or heads back toward Portimão, depending on how the sightings have gone.
