Festival MED transforms Loulé's historic centre into a world music village, June 25–28, 2026. Artists from 30 countries perform across five stages. The 2026 headliners include Goran Bregovic, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Salif Keita, Tiken Jah Fakoly, and Sérgio Godinho.
Festival MED (MED.26) takes over Loulé's historic centre from June 25–28, 2026, turning the medieval streets and squares into a global celebration of world music, culture, and food. With artists from 30 countries confirmed, MED is one of Portugal's most distinctive cultural festivals and a must-experience destination for music lovers.
Over 50 concerts across five main stages — Matriz, Cerca, Chafariz, Castelo, and Hammam:
MED isn't just a music festival. The streets of Loulé come alive with artisan markets, street theatre, dance performances, and an international street food market. The intimate setting of the historic centre — narrow streets, small squares, castle walls — creates a uniquely atmospheric experience that larger festival grounds can't match.
June 25–27 are ticketed days. June 28 is a free-admission day open to all. Tickets available via BOL.pt and the festival website. Loulé is a 20-minute drive from Faro Airport.
