About This Event

The Algarve's biggest sporting weekend of the year: MotoGP returns to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on 20–22 November 2026.

Portimão's circuit is the one the riders actually enjoy — a rollercoaster of blind crests and elevation change that makes for genuinely unpredictable racing. The Grand Prix weekend runs Friday to Sunday, with practice and sprint on Saturday and the main race Sunday afternoon.

Book accommodation now if you haven't. Portimão, Alvor and Lagos fill up months ahead and prices roughly double for the weekend. The circuit sits inland off the N125 near Mexilhoeira Grande, about 15 minutes from Portimão — traffic on Sunday morning is the one predictable thing about the day, so leave early or use the shuttle services from Portimão and Lagos.

November in the Algarve is mild but not guaranteed dry. Bring layers and a waterproof; the grandstands are exposed.

Note: some third-party listings show 13–15 November. The circuit and official ticketing both confirm 20–22 November.
